A 30-minute live class to open the heart and balance your inner energy flow.
The subtle body, or Sukshma Sharira, is the energetic bridge between the physical and the spiritual. It carries prana, the life-force energy that moves through your chakras and nadis, shaping emotion, thought, and vitality. At the center of this field is the Anahata Chakra, the heart center, where love and compassion flow freely.
A loving, compassionate heart allows you to experience deep connection with yourself and others. With an expansive heart, you begin to accept life as it is, with forgiveness, empathy, and grace. You honor both your light and your shadow, recognizing that everyone is doing their best at their own level of awareness.
As you move, listen to the messages of your body and let breath be your guide. Sensation is valuable—it reveals where energy flows and where kindness is needed. Sharp or restrictive pain is a cue to soften, an invitation to practice ahimsa (non-harming) toward yourself.
From an energetic perspective, the breath is the extension of the heart, the living bridge between body and mind. As the shapes shift, your breath will too. If you lose the breath, you’ve gone too far. This balance between sukha (ease) and dukkha (strain) teaches harmony within effort.
When practicing asanas, adjust the shape of each pose to support the anatomy of the breath. Allow space in the diaphragm, ribcage, and chest for a full, complete inhale and exhale. When the breath flows freely, prana circulates, and the heart naturally expands in compassion.
Breathe through the heart. Move with compassion. Rest in grace.
